A beautiful lake surrounded by weeds and marshy land is drained to make way for a housing estate. The birds, frogs and snakes that live near the lake have no home. The housing estate affects the natural environment and causes changes that were not anticipated, leading to more changes and unhappy residents. This story is all about maintaining a balance between the natural world we are a part of and providing for our own needs in a sustainable way. In the story the frogs win and a balance is achieved, but not without a whole lot of problems along the way.
