In this story Kevin Radcliffe tries out for selection for his local football team-Grange. Unfortunately he is not good enough and doesn't get picked. He is so upset because his friends, who he thinks are worse footballers than him, make the team. Kevin's dad encourages his son to do some training and not to give up on his dreams. This story is about what happens to Kevin and how he learns about himself as he attempts to become a member of the Grange Football Club.
